As Greenland is located within the Arctic Circle, it is a destination not frequently visited by travelers. Given three quarters of the island covered in a permanent ice sheet, Winters, unsurprisingly, are bitterly cold, however its northern location opens up some fantastic gems, with dog sledding, ski fields and star gazing aplenty.
